New Mini cooper SD

The new Mini Cooper SD has the largest engine ever had that came from the famous car manufacturer of the English: it is the turbo four-cylinder 2-liter (143 hp maximum power, maximum torque 305 Nm) developed by BMW and now adopted on all Mini models (Hatch, Cabrio, Clubman and Countryman).

The engine, equipped with a supercharging system of ad hoc and common-rail direct injection of the first generation, it offers respectable performance that vary slightly depending on the version, while the construction point of view, the engine is similar to that 1.6-l fitted to the Mini One D and MINI Cooper D (aluminum crankcase to reduce weight and turbo with variable intake to optimize the supply at each speed of rotation).

The technical equipment is instead very similar to that of the classic Mini Cooper S with rigid structure and suspension system with McPherson front (though tuned differently to take account of the fact that a diesel engine over the post of 'front compared to a petrol) and multilink at the rear, however, is present in the SD Sport button that, once inserted, acts on the set up of the vehicle (suspension, steering, stability control, etc..) to enhance its dynamic qualities.

Even from an aesthetic point of view, the Mini Cooper SD are very similar to the Mini Cooper S, both externally and internally, in particular, the cabin has no variation, while the outside is just the logo on the tailgate to identify the SD version while for the rest (bumpers, hood, dual exhaust central, roof spoiler, etc..) there are substantial differences compared to the S range gasoline, which in fact represent a new sort of SD evolution, although a clear continuity but does not appear at all repetitive.
