The project X7 is one of the few who for the moment have not seen the light at BMW: accomplice to the harsh economic crisis that hit the car market and especially the collapse of SUV and pickup sales in the United States of America (territory for the success of this type of vehicle), the home of Monaco of Bavaria has so far always put off the mass production of a model whose design dates back to 2008.
Now the idea seems to be finally back in vogue, because in the meantime have opened new and interesting markets in the Far East, South America (especially Brazil) and Eastern Europe (Russia in particular) that may be suitable for SUV with seven seats and large trunk that really wants to compete directly with the Cadillac Escalade.
It seems that the Bavarian house is thinking more like a model that all'X5 all'X6 (whose line sports too, perhaps not exactly the best, at least for a good part of the customers of the BMW brand) to be launched around 2013, what quite likely given that at the moment there is never even mentioned the arrival of this new SUV between the new expectations for 2012.
What is certain however is that BMW will continue to be the game in this segment, especially since it is one of the few able to gamble without too many problems on several fronts since the economic crisis has not touched its sales, so for cars than for motorcycles, keep going at full speed (as well as revenues) so that in many wonder who are the real reasons that led the German manufacturer to delay so long the launch of the BMW X7 same .
