2012 Mitsubishi i-MiEV Electric

Mitsubishi Motors has played the next move in the growing global war the electric car, announcing it will offer three different versions of his four-seater electric car.

Tesla Model S is very similar to the sedan, the only difference between the three types of cars will be the size of the battery, which means the ability for consumers to choose the battery that best suits their needs.

The launch in Japan with a tru
e entry-level price of 2.60 million yen (32,000 dollars) and the new Mitsubishi i-MiEV M offer only 75 miles of battery life per charge.

The i-MiEV standards, which will feature 3-door and fast charging standard, allowing owners to be recharged in 30 minutes in places where there are appropriate facilities for recharging.
Later in the lineup is the i-MiEV standard, which offers the same range of 100 miles of the current model, but at a reduced price.

Finally, the top of the range model, the G i-MiEV, which will offer an increase of 10 km of autonomy for a total of 110 miles. But thanks to economies of scale and lower production costs, also the G i-MiEV will be cheaper to buy because with over 100 miles of autonomy will be marketed to 3.8 million yen ($ 46,968).

However, Mitsubishi does not have official plans to bring the three options range in the United States, where the Mitsubishi i-MiEV will be redesigned and sold in 2012 as the Mitsubishi i.
We would hope that Mitsubishi will offer different options for any specific range of the United States, but we're not sure that many consumers are willing to pay a premium for only another 10 miles of autonomy.

Given that Mitsubishi has already set a price of $ 27,990 to the U.S. for his 2012 Mitsubishi i, Mitsubishi we are not sure how it would introduce a range of larger capacity battery options without strong additional investment.
