Following the recent premiere in Frankfurt civil compact hatchback Renault Twingo, very soon on the Geneva Motor Show will be presented to the "charged" version of the Renault Twingo RS 2012 model year. The first "hot" hatchback Renault Twingo appeared in 2008. Sales for the whole of this period is not impressive figures - only 10,000 cars then, but to maintain the brand image that is enough.
Externally, the updated Renault Twingo RS 2012 absorbed the traits of both updated and older brother Twingo Renault Megane RS. Thus the car looks fresh and outstanding. Emphasize the provocative image of the new grille, front bumper with large air intake and spoiler, curved like a splitter bolides of Formula 1 (the same element of the body and is "charged" versions of the Megane and Clio), other door sills and rear bumper with the other cone.
The original form of "protivotumanok" and the rear lights give the appearance of the new Twingo RS more positive. Perfectly complement the exterior design of the new 16-inch alloy wheels in black, roof spoiler and a yellow color versions «Sirius Yellow».
The interior of the new Renault Twingo RS is made in white. The center console is made of black glossy plastic, and leather upholstery and steering wheel stitched with yellow thread. The instrument panel moved to the center. In the list of new equipment has a system of «Renault Sport Monitor», which allows real-time monitoring and control of engine performance, acceleration and deceleration of the car, handling and lap times on the track.
Under the hood of the new Renault Twingo RS is installed the previous naturally aspirated four-cylinder gasoline engine working volume of 1.6 liters, develops 133 hp power and 160 Nm of torque. It should be noted that such a small car is set very high-performance braking system with brake discs 280 mm diameter front and rear 240 mm. Suspension is available in two variants of settings - sport version of the Cup or undervalued by 4 mm clearance.
Together with the modification of the Twingo RS will see the light and a special version of "charged" compact hatchback Renault - Gordini RS. The car in this configuration is different the original blue colors with two white stripes, dark alloy wheels diameter of 17 inches, automatic climate control unit, gray interior with leather trim and a blue line instead of yellow. The new Twingo RS hatchback available with two types of power units - 100-horsepower gasoline engine or 85-horsepower diesel.
