The automaker from France produces information and pictures of the new compact crossover Peugeot 4008 2013, world premiere will take place next March at the Geneva International Exhibition of cars in 2012, and the first customers will be able to meet with a car in the second quarter of next year.

The new Peugeot 4008, the size of which 4340 mm long, 1800 wide and 1630 tall, has a wheelbase of 2670 millimeters, and is based on the platform of the car Mitsubishi ASX, known in the U.S. car market as the Outlander Sport, and in Japan under the name «RVR». The new compact crossover Peugeot 4008 2013 - the result of partnership of French carmaker PSA Peugeot, Citroen, and the Japanese Mitsubishi, which began work in early 2010.







Updated 4008, Peugeot completes one of the four engines, two of which run on petrol and two diesel fuel.

Petrol versions include a 1.6-liter engine produces 116 horsepower with torque of 152 Nm and a 2.0-liter, 150-horsepower engine that develops 198 Nm of torque. Both power units of the new Peugeot 4008 led the movement two or four wheels through a five-speed manual transmission as standard, while a 2.0-liter version of Crossover, as an additional option available to select continuously variable CVT.
Diesel engines of the new Peugeot 4008 - a 1.6-liter, 112-horsepower engine which develops 270 Nm of torque and a 1.8-liter engine rated at 150 horsepower with peak torque of 300 Nm. HDi turbo diesel paired with a six-speed manual transmission.
The automaker from France reported that the car market in Europe, the new Peugeot 4008 will be available with a choice of two diesel engines, and only with all-wheel drive, which allows the driver to choose one of three modes - 2WD, 4WD and LOCK. In the first case the car is driven through the front wheels, while the second and third, the distribution of torque between the front and rear axles of the new Peugeot 4008, manages the electronics.
