The Ford Kuga will give way to a new generation in 2012. The car will come from Vertrek, the concept car shown at the last Detroit Auto Show and which will be the production version. The new Kuga will be roughly 460 cm long, 15 cm or more current. Obviously, the car will be available with four-wheel drive.
The new Ford Kuga will be marketed not only in Europe but also in the U.S. to replace the Escape. As for the mechanics, the second generation of the Kuga will adopt the new EcoBoost 4-cylinder gasoline engines, direct injection and characterized by the supercharging, and the Powershift dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Given that it will share the platform with the new generation Ford Focus, it is possible that the new Kuga will be available in versions with alternative power, such as Electric or hybrid electric propulsion hybrid propulsion, the latter version is also planned plug-In.
The market will occupy a more important place in the compact SUV segment, such as the Volkswagen Tiguan and Toyota RAV4. The Ford Kuga is currently on the market since 2008 and has already collected a lot of support from the Italian public who appreciated early on the forms of crossover.
